Assistant Professor, Developmental Psychologist, Department of Psychology (1035-254)

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Developmental Psychology at the Assistant Professor level within the Experimental Program. The position begins August 2015. The department consists of 24 full-time and part-time faculty members, and offers the B.A. degree in Psychology, Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in School Psychology, and Ph.D. degree in Experimental Psychology, School Psychology and Clinical Psychology (APA accredited). Primary responsibilities include graduate teaching specific to developmental psychology, undergraduate teaching in developmental psychology and general experimental, conducting research, and supervising undergraduate and graduate student research. The position offers unique collaborative opportunities with other experimental faculty as well as other colleagues in the department, on campus, and in the community. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in developmental psychology (or experimental psychology with a developmental specialty) with specialization in infancy, childhood or adolescence, evidence of scholarly productivity commensurate with experience, potential to establish and maintain a program of research, and evidence of excellence in teaching. New faculty members are provided research support including lab space and reasonable teaching responsibilities. Salary is competitive in the region.
